Simple Sushi Recipe (Easy Maki Roll)
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked rice (Japanese rice kung meron, pero pwede rin regular rice basta medyo malata)
2 tbsp vinegar (rice vinegar kung meron)
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Nori (seaweed sheet)
Filling of your choice: cucumber strips, crab sticks, hotdog, scrambled egg, or tuna/mayo mix
Soy sauce for dipping
Procedure:
1. Prepare the rice – Haluan ng vinegar, sugar, at salt ang kanin habang mainit. Palamigin ng konti.
2. Lay the nori – Ilagay ang nori sa bamboo mat (o kahit cling wrap).
3. Spread the rice – Pantayin ang rice sa ibabaw ng nori (huwag masyadong makapal).
4. Add filling – Sa gitna lang maglagay ng pipino, crab stick, itlog, o kahit anong gusto mong palaman.
5. Roll – Dahan-dahang igulong gamit ang mat o plastic hanggang maging tight roll.
6. Slice – Hiwain ng basang kutsilyo para hindi dumikit.
7. Serve – Isawsaw sa toyo at enjoy! 🍣
