Whether you are a seasoned author with a collection of published works or a budding writer taking your first steps into the literary world, we invite you to share your unique voice and storytelling prowess with an expansive audience. Our mission is to honor and promote outstanding narratives, providing you with a platform that connects you to readers who cherish high-quality literature.

This call for submissions is inclusive of every genre, ensuring that every extraordinary story finds its rightful home. **Submission Guidelines for Traditional Manuscripts:**
- **Submission Window:**
- **Start Date:** September 9
- **End Date:**November 9 (for the first round of submissions)
- **Language:** Submissions are accepted in English, Tagalog, or Taglish.
- **Eligibility Criteria:**
- We welcome submissions from all writers aged 16 and older. Writers aged 16 to 17 are required to submit a summary of their writing experience, along with parental consent. Adult writers need only submit their resumes for the initial evaluation process.
- **Submission Process:**

- **Subject Line Formatting:** (Genre) (Title_Pen name/Pseudonym)
*Example: (Erotic Romance) (Seduction_ApolloTheGreat)*
- **Formatting Requirements for Manuscripts:**
- Submissions must be sent in Word format.
- Use a standard, plain font type, specifically 12-point Times New Roman or Calibre.
- Apply single spacing throughout the document.
- Use italics to highlight emphasis.
- Indent the first line of each paragraph, and justify the text.
- Include additional space before and after each paragraph.
- Manuscripts must be thoroughly proofread and at least 95% edited to ensure quality before submission.
**New Submission Guidelines for Traditional Manuscript Evaluation:**
1. To initiate the evaluation process, submit the following:
- A synopsis of 300–500 words detailing your narrative conflict.
- Character profiles that bring your protagonists and antagonists to life.
- A description of the setting to ground your story in a relatable world.
- The first seven chapters of your manuscript (including a prologue if applicable).
2. Submissions that pass the initial review will be placed on a Long List for further consideration.
3. Those selected from the Long List will be invited to submit their complete manuscript for final selection by the KM&H Black Serpent Publishing House.
After submitting your materials, expect to receive feedback within one to four weeks.
**Genres We Are Seeking:**
1. **Romance**
- *Word Count:* Minimum 24K - Maximum 60K
2. **Children’s Literature**
- *Word Count for Children’s Books:* Minimum 15K - Maximum 30K
- *Word Count for Adult Books:* Minimum 20K
3. **Historical Fiction**
- *Word Count:* Minimum 18K - Maximum 80K
4. **Poetry**
- Narrative and dramatic poetry accepted.
5. **General Fiction**
- *Word Count:* Minimum 18K - Maximum 80K
6. **Horror**
- *Word Count:* Minimum 20K - Maximum 80K
7. **Mystery/Thriller**
- *Word Count:* Minimum 15K - Maximum 80K
8. **Fantasy**
- *Word Count:* Minimum 20K - Maximum 80K; stories involving extraordinary beings (e.g. vampires, wolves).
9. **Dark/Black Romance/Witchcraft**
- *Word Count:* Minimum 20K - Maximum 80K.
**Important Notes:**
- Submissions in the categories of Erotic Romance must avoid explicit language in intimate scenes.
- Writers aged 16 to 19 are prohibited from submitting to this genre.
- Manuscripts featuring incestuous relationships are not permitted.
All selected manuscripts have a chance to be published between the years 2025 and 2026, depending on the progress of the review and publication process.
Beginning September 9, we will also be open to answer any inquiries about the submission process. Manuscripts submitted outside of the stipulated dates will be disqualified automatically.
