SERGE CHOCOLATE: Founded in 1954 by Antonio Goquilay (his son Sergio) became a household name.
In the 1980's they migrated to the US, the Serges company was absorbed by the government as part of their Asset Privatization program, the product disappeared from the shelves. In 1990's Sergio went back to the Philippines and took control of the Serge company, unfortunately the company closed because of the 1997 Asian Market crash and 2001 the company filed bankruptcy. Still Serge's presence in the childhood memories of so many of us is still undeniable.
