I have never been so excited on a project blade. Here's a parang blade we designed and based our inspiration on the traditional "parang" in Malaysia and Indonesia but added with a little twist for bushcraft.

This parang has a 12" blade, convex grind, and 18" in total length including the handle. Full tang design for heavy duty use. Scales are made of native hardwood tree materials like bayong, narra, and kamagong (exotic mahogany can also be another option).

We have also used the traditional bamboo pins not just for aesthetics but also to add the Filipino touch to it.

The metal used is a leaf spring (carbon steel), brute dé forge. It will come with a leather sheath done by me. The blade is still subject for field use and shall be available for sale anytime soon!
