I know I rarely open this page after announcing my hiatus (on my personal account) yet, I'd like to utilize this platform, however little my audience are.
For the life of me, I can't sit in silence, waiting help to extend hand on Cebu. I am frustrated at how took lives and washed out homes. I can't help but direct my anger at the government-- the people who owes us accountability. How flood control could've spared many lives in Cebu.
When the typhoon hit, I was at my hometown -- Cambinocot, a mountain baranggay in Cebu City-- and it breaks my heart to see houses left with nothing but vines, trash and mud. The roads, impassable. Bridges collapsed. Landslides everywhere. Trees blocking the paths. No electricity, no signal. Scarce in clean water. Nearing food shortage.
The anxiety of receiving no news from everyone prompt me to travel back in city through narrow roads and detours. I've seen a lot. And it's frustrating that I don't have enough resources to help, nor the means to deliver the goods myself. So, I am making this post. Hoping someone with kind heart and means to help send aid to my neighbors in Cambinocot, Paril, Lusaran, Mabini, Agsungot, Binaliw and other neighboring baranggays in mountains.
At the moment, I am still trying to get in contact with my classmates and org members to assess where help is most needed so I could forward it to our university's authorities and I am still trying to find someone to contact in city hall or capitol to lend a hand given that I might be staying here in the city for a while. It's all a broke college student like I am could do.
Thus, I am making this post. Hoping anyone with kind heart and means to help can send aid to my neighbors in Cambinocot, Paril, Lusaran, Mabini, Agsungot, Binaliw and neighboring baranggays in the mountains. Monetary or in-kind is highly appreciated.
