This is a post from Kitty Duterte, the daughter of Tatay Digong. In Shaa Allah, this is true! May Allah bring justice and protect those who truly serve the people.

P.S. I will continue calling him Tatay as a sign of respect to the old man, and it’s not like I worship him. Astaghfirullah (I seek forgiveness in God)! Only Allah knows my pure intention—you have no right to judge me. Calling him Tatay doesn’t mean I’m not interested in going to Jannah (heaven). You see how ridiculous this can be?

Some of you are so focused on small things while ignoring bigger issues. You call out others’ mistakes, yet you don’t see your own. The way some of you speak and correct people is rude and harsh—so many are complaining about your impatience. Islam teaches wisdom, patience, and good manners, yet you fail to apply them in your own words and actions.

If you want to correct others, do it with respect and kindness, not arrogance and harshness. May Allah guide us all.
