"Good afternoon, this is IU, who played Sung Huiju in "21st Century Grand Prince's Wife" ("Perfect Crown").

Over the past few days, I have carefully read every comment and opinion left by many viewers. I feel deeply disappointed in myself for not fulfilling the responsibility expected of me as the lead actress of this project.

Regarding the various concerns about historical distortion that many of you pointed out in the drama, I sincerely reflect on my shortcomings and apologize without excuse.

Because this was a meaningful project intended to portray imagination inspired by our country’s history and the traditional beauty of Korea, I should have examined and studied the script more carefully as an actress. I am ashamed that I failed to recognize the seriousness of the issue beforehand. I am truly sorry.

To everyone who watched the drama until the end and shared your honest criticism and opinions, thank you.

I will always remember your valuable feedback, and from now on I will approach my work with greater care and responsibility.
