My 3 yr oldโ€™s nap time looks different these days.

I donโ€™t wait for him to fully fall asleep anymore. I just lie down with him for a few quiet minutesโ€ฆ

Then I gently ask if I can go get ready to pick up kuya.
When he says โ€œokay,โ€ I go ๐Ÿค
If he says no, I stay a little longerโ€ฆ until heโ€™s ready, or until he drifts off to sleep.

No pressure.
No forcing.
Just a simple routine that works for us.

Proof that boundaries + routine actually work.

And honestlyโ€ฆ it wasnโ€™t like this before.

There were times when turning off the tablet led to meltdowns, especially when screen time stretched to an hour ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ

But staying consistent with boundaries + keeping a simple routine made all the difference.

Now he knows what to expect, and transitions are so much easier ๐Ÿ’›
