TECH NEWS: A landline phone with a tablet’s edge?

“We’ve come full circle” was how Twitter user Niki Tonsky captioned a photo of a landline phone-and-tablet hybrid which he shared in the platform.

Identified as “KT5 (3C)”, the device is actually an Android 10.0-driven tablet that comes with a traditional landline handset. Billed as a type of “smart telephone”, the device is battery-powered, works with a SIM card and comes with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity features. A higher version of the device comes with support for landline and Ethernet cable connectivity.

Tonsky’s post garnered over 1.1 million likes and has spurned all sorts of reactions from those who’ve come by it.
