Neo had a follow-up checkup last July 9, and we received some news from his doctor.
He had been under maintenance treatment since last yearβmeaning he only needed chemotherapy every 28 days. Neo is such an active and cheerful kid; even after his chemo injections, he would often be up right away, walking around and playing with his hospital mates. We truly thought we were making progress.
But despite how strong and lively he seemed, the leukemia has now reached his brain. Because of this, Neo will need to restart induction treatment, bringing us back to square one. This means more frequent and intensive chemo sessions once again.
Next week, heβs scheduled for two intrathecal procedures (chemotherapy injected into the spinal fluid), and shortly after, our little warrior will need to be admitted to the hospital for 5 days to begin the first round of this new chemo protocol, aimed at preventing the leukemic cells from spreading further.
As a parent, Iβve never felt this vulnerable in my life. All I can do is be there with him every step of the wayβholding his hand through each procedure, making sure he knows that Iβve got his back every single second. I will keep doing everything I can to support his chemotherapy and help him fight this painful battle.
I know God is with usβespecially in moments when we feel most down and in need. He always brings light into our lives, reminding us that nothing is impossible and that we are never alone in this journey. Because we have our family, friends, and even people who barely know usβbut still choose to help us willingly. That kind of love and kindness gives us the strength to keep going.
We humbly ask again for any help you can extend during this timeβwhether through prayers, sharing, or financial support. For those who wish to support Neoβs fight, please refer to the QR codes below.
Please continue to keep Neo in your thoughts and prayers as he bravely faces this more challenging phase of his journey. πͺπΌππΌπ
