On 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 the Bachelor of Science in Nursing & Health Care Services NCII Class of 2025 from 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 – 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 & 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐲 crossed a stage — but more than that, they crossed a threshold.

Because nursing isn’t just RetDems, NCPs, or long duty hours.
It’s what happens when no one’s watching.
When compassion shows up — not from habit, but from 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.

You do not exist because you think.
You exist because you care. Because you act.
Because you choose to break away — from fear, from comfort, from doubt.

💫 𝙐𝘾 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙖 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨 2025: 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙚𝙣 𝘼𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩 𝙁𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙚𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙙 ✒️

In a time where misinformation and disinformation blur the lines between truth and deception, the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 emerges as a beacon of journalistic integrity. Gathering student journalists and media creatives from across UC campuses, this congress fosters a shared mission—to uphold truth, ethical reporting, and the power of storytelling in shaping public discourse.

The event featured 𝐌𝐚𝐱 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐠, a respected journalist from Rappler and Esquire Philippines, who emphasized the responsibility of journalists in combating falsehoods and the ethical duty to report facts amidst the noise of digital misinformation. Meanwhile, 𝐙𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨, aka Cartoonist Zach, an editorial cartoonist for the CBCP Monitor, inspired attendees with his insights on how art and editorial cartooning serve as powerful tools for truth, activism, and creative expression.

More than just a gathering, this congress serves as a call to action—a reminder that journalism is not just about reporting, but about defending truth in an era where lies spread faster than facts. As student journalists step forward, armed with knowledge, creativity, and integrity, they prove that the pen remains mightier than deception, and that seeking truth is a battle worth fighting.
