He became the Best Interpreter of the 1st AwiTeofilo Original Song Writing Competition with his song Zelo Zelatu Sum, composed by Rev. Charles Louis Jayme which also hailed as one of the best songs during the competition. He also became the Best Interpreter of Awit-Ampo sa Paring Sugbuanon – A-Prayer-Song Writing Competition with his Hingpita Ako, Ginoo, composed by Rev. Charles Louis Jayme which also hailed as the Grand Champion of the competition.
