CCCI Opens Cebu Business Month 2026 with Call for Investment-Led Growth
The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) officially launched the Investment and Entrepreneurship Summit, the first major event of Cebu Business Month 2026, with a call for stronger collaboration to position Cebu as a leading investment and innovation hub.
In his opening remarks, CCCI President Regan Rex King emphasized the need for Cebu to move beyond adapting to global economic changes and instead take a leadership role in shaping its future. He highlighted the province's strategic location, entrepreneurial culture, and growing attractiveness to investors as key advantages in an increasingly competitive global landscape.
King stressed that investment must be inclusive and entrepreneurship must be supported to ensure sustainable economic growth. He underscored the importance of transforming ideas into investments, fostering partnerships, and creating opportunities that generate jobs and improve livelihoods.
King also reiterated CCCI's "LEAD A-MUST with IMPACT" agenda, which focuses on promoting Cebu as a premier investment destination, strengthening partnerships, developing talent, and ensuring that economic growth benefits communities across the province.
Calling for collective action among government, business, academe, entrepreneurs, and investors, King urged stakeholders to work together in building a resilient, competitive, and future-ready Cebu.
CBM 2026 Overall Chairman Bryan Yap highlighted the need for Cebu to adapt to changes driven by technology, investment trends, and global competition. He described CBM 2026 as a series of four interconnected summits designed to address investment, innovation, tourism, and design as key drivers of the region's growth.
Yap emphasized that investment and entrepreneurship are crucial indicators of confidence in Cebu's future, urging stakeholders to actively participate in shaping the province's economic direction. He also encouraged delegates to engage in all four CBM summits to gain a complete understanding of Cebu's development agenda.
The summit marks the opening of Cebu Business Month 2026, a series of forums and events aimed at driving investment, innovation, and economic development in the region.
