This is probably the country I’ll never visit again… and I know this is going to offend a lot of people.
I know this won’t be everyone’s opinion, but this was my experience.
Singapore is probably the one country I don’t see myself visiting again.
It was also the first place where I personally experienced racism, and that really affected how I viewed the trip. Maybe others have had completely different experiences, but that’s what happened to me.
Aside from that, I found it incredibly clean, efficient, and organized…which I can definitely appreciate. But as a tourist, it honestly felt like a cleaner, more polished version of BGC. After a while, I felt like there wasn’t much for me to do, especially considering how expensive everything was.
Now, where Singapore absolutely deserves the hype is the food. The Hainanese chicken rice? Easily one of the highlights of my trip.
Travel is subjective, and not every destination is for everyone. This one just wasn’t for me.
Have you been to Singapore? Did you love it, or did you leave feeling the same way? I’d genuinely love to hear your experience.
