Right after college, nag-start na akong magtrabaho sa isang private school and my take home was only less than ten kyaw. After 1 year habang nag-aaral for my masters degree, nag-apply naman ako sa university kung saan ako gumraduate. May significant increase sa take home pero I was not a regular employee. In the government, there is what they call "Job Order" or contractual. Okay naman. Pero alam kong may mas maganda.

If teacher ka like me, you may have some questions right now. "What is life to offer us?" "What's the world beyond the four corners of the classroom?" After 3 years of teaching, I asked myself this question, "Do I pursue further studies?" or "Shall I create a business?" "Anong business naman?"

To cut the story short, nag-resign ako sa pagiging g**o. Iniwan ko ang propesyon ko as I saw what's beyond. Reality hits. Di ako kayang bigyan ng buhay na gusto ko if I'll stick to teaching.

I have no qoutes today to inspire you. I only have my story to share. And this journey is a journey of self-discovery, taking accountability to the consequences of my own decision and my own action.

Thankfulness may or may not be a result of your current situation. It’s a choice. It’s a desire to look within you and see the good every step of the way. Nakadepende yan eh kung paano mo tinitignan ang mga bagay-bagay.

Ikaw ay magbulay-bulay.

That moment that you make the change in your mind and in your heart – that is the same time when your dreams become possible and life becomes more meaningful.

An Open Letter To My Self ✍️

You are now living a life differently; and that’s so strange for some people lalo na ‘yong mga higit na nakakikilala sa’yo. They may not say it to you but the truth is they wish they could be as free as you – like how the bamboo dances while the wind blows.

You are now growing. You are now in the best place you’ve never been – with your co-.

Here you are now; not starting over but courageously continuing forward and it’s such a beautiful understanding. 🫶🏻

Congratulations on saying yes more often to things that bring your life joy, on opening your mind and heart to new ways of thinking and unique experiences.

Accept opportunities to grow and learn more with others.

I know that the teacher in you knows the Life’s Venn Diagram very well – there will be challenges. But that’s okay. You always learn the most during those times. Our mentor once said: “In school, lesson muna bago test; but in life, test muna bago lesson.”

Once you become a LEARNED person, alam kong doon mo madidiscover ang mystery and the magic of life. Excited akong mafeel mo how amazing it is. Stay hungry for that kind of feeling.

Make the most out of yourself and do the things can help you grow and become the right person para sa mga pangarap mo.

Since we only have one life to live, become a vessel of blessings. We only live once. Do your best to become successful. Mas marami kang matutulungan kapag meron ka. Sabi nga, you cannot give what you do not have.

Sa panahon ngayon, humanity needs inspiration. When you inspire, its effect is long-term. If you’re inspired, there’s really a domino effect. Spark inspiration to humanity – it’s the greatest contribution that you can give to the world. Mas marami, mas maliwanag.

Mas may liwanag, mas may linaw.

Mas may linaw, mas maraming makakakita.

Mas maraming makakakita, mas maraming may pag-asa.

And it will start sayo.

The more in harmony you are with yourself – inner and outer, the more magical life becomes. Be in the present to find the harmony.

ANG DALAWANG MUKHA SA TANONG NA “KUMUSTA”

“Kumusta?”
“Uy, hi! I’m doing great! Ikaw? Kumusta?”
“Wala eh. Ganon pa rin… Buti ka pa!”

Malalim ang kahulugan ng pangungumusta. Personal. Pagdating sa mga usapin ng buhay, nakatago sa isang tiyak na kahulugan ang mukha ng sagot sa tanong na kumusta.

Magkaiba ang sagot ng taong masaya at ng taong ginugustong maging masaya sa kung nasaan siya at kung ano ang meron siya. Malayo. Gayunpaman, nakabibilib. Dahil grabe kung magpursige. Ngunit syempre, hindi maiaalis sa kahong ito silang mga nag-pupuro-sige na lang. Na parang wala nang nakikitang ibang mapagkukunan ng buhay. Ng pwedeng ika-level up at ikasaya. Ikagalak. Ikatiyak.

“Kumusta?”

Hindi ko alam kailan mo huling natanggap ang tanong na yan. Wala akong ideya anong mukha ng sagot mo riyan. Nong tinanong sa akin yan, sinabi ko sa sarili ko na “Buti na lang!”

Masaya ako.

Maraming nagmamasid. Nakatitig. Nag-hihintay. Nakatanaw. Pero sila, o may iilan, na ang sagot sa tanong na kumusta ay: “Wala eh. Ganon pa rin.”

Walang pagbabago.

Sa isip-isip ko... Sa mundong mahilig mangumusta, piliin mong ang maisagot mo ay ang tanggap ng puso mo. Alamin mo saan ka ba tunay na masaya. Dyan ka magiging malaya sa tanong na: “Kumusta?”

Hindi mo matatakasan ang potensyal mo. Kailanman.

Hindi sapat na pangarapin lang, dapat pagtrabahuhin din at palagi mong ikumpara ang sarili mo sa sinasabing “most beautiful possibilities.” Anuman ang mangyari; uulitin ko, hindi mo matatakasan ang potensiyal mo.

Kahit anong nguya mo, walang melatonin na makapagpapatulog sayo kapag nasundot mo yong pinakakumikiliti sayo. Laging ipapaalala sayo ng potensyal mo ang nakasasabik na linamnam ng pagkakaroon ng malinaw, makinang at siguradong pangako sa sarili na sa dulo ikaw ay lubos na magiging mahusay, matagumpay, at buo.

Kaya harapin mo ang potensyal mo.

Namnamin. Titigan. Kilalanin. At higit sa lahat ay tanggapin. Ng buo. Yakapin mo ang potensyal mo. Sarili mo lang ang may kayang umakay diyan papunta sa buhay na gusto mo.
