𝐀 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐳𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗜𝗜 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

The flame of unity and sportsmanship burned bright as the 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐈𝐈 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 officially opened at 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓. The program began with the entry of colors led by the 𝐁𝐨𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐍𝐇𝐒, followed by the solemn singing of the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗠𝘀. 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗝. 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮. The thrill of competition sparked to life as 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 kicked off its Men's 𝗕𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 at 𝟏:𝟎𝟎 in the afternoon on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟖 inside the Pardo Gym.

The championship matches were officially opened under the leadership of the tournament managers, 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐧 𝐏. 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳, 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒. 𝐓𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐬, and 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐆𝐚𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐑. 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐲. With their coaches beside them, players entered the competition eager to prove themselves, each carrying the same goal in mind. The championship blazed with nonstop action, each round packed with intense battles that kept the crowd on edge. Smashes shook the court, shouts roared, and cheers erupted as the championship became the ultimate showdown, ending in a fierce clash that sent the crowd applauding.

On 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟕 and 𝟖 at 1:00 PM, the 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 for the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 began inside the campus gym. Rackets were ready and the court was set for the brave and determined players who wants to achieve greatness.

The elimination rounds between day and night was hosted by the tournament managers, 𝐌𝐚'𝐚𝐦 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐧 𝐏. 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳, 𝐌𝐚'𝐚𝐦 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒. 𝐓𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐬, and 𝐌𝐚'𝐚𝐦 𝐆𝐚𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐑. 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐲. Many players with their coaches joined the event, but after some time, the number of players was decreasing continuously until only half of the participants remained.

On the day after the elimination, the finals took place. The best female players for every grade level fought with one another. The spirits of every player in the venue were fired up. Great games begun, and after some time, players who lost left the event with the feeling of sadness and determination to improve, hoping to get the title of "Champion" next time.

As the crickets chirp in the cold air, 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐬' house radiates warmth and peace. He wakes up at 𝟒 𝗔𝗠 to prepare for the day ahead. Before leaving the house, he reads verses from the 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗺𝘀 in the 𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲. This practice helps him get ready to 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 that may arise and enables him to cope with matters successfully.

Although his favorite part of the day is meeting his students, teaching also comes with challenges. Still, 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐬 greets his class with a 𝘀𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲, always striving to help his students learn and truly grasp the lessons.

“𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗲?”

When the day’s work is done, 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐬 finds peace in simple joys: reading the 𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴, listening to 𝗴𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀, or even watching beauty pageants on 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗲. Occasionally, he treats himself by 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 at the mall.

And at the end of the day, he prepares for the new day ahead of him.

The story of 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐍𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐬 reminds us that teachers, though often seen only in the classroom, live full lives of responsibility, faith, and service. 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 || 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞, 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞: 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

On 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟭𝟬 at 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝟏𝟔 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, participated in an "𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫" 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 "𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐠 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬" 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦. The purpose of these events was to help students understand the importance of making informed and rational decisions in critical situations.

𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫 (𝐑𝐒𝐖), 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐈; 𝗠𝘀. 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗜𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣. 𝗘𝗯𝗰𝗮𝘀 is the 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐃𝐒𝐖𝐒) - 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 (𝐋𝐆𝐔) 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 along with her 𝐜𝐨-𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐬. 𝐉𝐢𝐧, directly pointed out 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆.

With the help of 𝐌𝐬. 𝐄𝐛𝐜𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐬. 𝐉𝐢𝐧, the 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 were given lessons to implement in life that serve as their preparation for any risky situation. One student from 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟭𝟬 - 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗦. 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝗮𝘆 stated, “𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙀𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙮 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙮 𝙎𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙧 𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥𝙨 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚. 𝙄𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙖 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙞𝙙 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙨 𝙬𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙩 𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧.”

The students gained knowledge that they could use in order to help the younger generations of what they can avoid in order to build a stable future. With the comprehensive information that they learned from our resource speaker of the 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫, the students will be able to raise awareness among their peers to divert experimentation to information that can satisfy their curiosity.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 || 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀

𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 made history with its first gathering of 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟏𝟎 𝐟𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 at 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗣𝗼𝗯. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶-𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗚𝘆𝗺 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, to attend the 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐠 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 to protect and prepare the youth from potential risks of 𝐓𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐬.

The 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐆𝐲𝐦 radiated with a welcoming presence from the 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐮𝐣𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐠𝐚𝐬 followed by 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺. 𝐌𝐫. 𝐀𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐠𝐚𝐬 was grateful to the 𝐆𝐚𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧, 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐍. 𝐇𝐮𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐫𝐠𝐲. 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧, 𝐀𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐧 “𝐁𝐨𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐲” 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐚 gave inspiring messages to the learners about what he encountered back when he was a student at the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐬. He stated, “𝙂𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙧𝙖 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙠𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙖.” Enlightening students about how addiction only gives temporary entertainment.

𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐦𝐞𝐢 𝐌. 𝐆𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐜𝐨, 𝐚 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧, shared his testimony with the students of Pardo NHS about how he was a former drug addict for 18 years, but after years of fighting for his family and rehabilitation, he is now 8 years and 6 months free from his addiction. Furthermore, he discussed the 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 “𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐘”: 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬

Secondly, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐅𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐃. 𝐑𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐫 “𝐊𝐮𝐲𝐚 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐨” marked a romantic and powerful message to the female students of his story of how his peers pressured him to use drugs. However, he left as a survivor with the help of his wife which inspired him with a consistent endeavor to become who he is now.

𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐌. 𝐓𝐮𝐦𝐥𝐨𝐬, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐫𝐮𝐠 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 stated, “𝙆𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙮 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙤 𝙬𝙖𝙡𝙖’𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙪𝙥.” Remind the students that temptation and curiosity can only lead to broken endings. Along with his history of drug addiction, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐌. 𝐓𝐮𝐦𝐥𝐨𝐬 made an impactful testimony to the student body about the effects of drugs and how they can change a life.

The students were fully engaged throughout the program due to the supportive spokesperson, who fostered a warm and inviting atmosphere for them to share their thoughts candidly. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐄𝐲𝐞 extends heartfelt gratitude for this event, as it played a vital role in educating students about the causes and effects of drugs and the challenging journey into addiction. It's crucial to foster understanding and compassion around these important topics.

Classes will only be up to 1:00 PM in observance to the “𝐊𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐲” which is held on the 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝟭:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 in accordance to the 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗼. 𝟲𝟬 (𝘀.𝟭𝟵𝟵𝟮) 𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗺 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗡𝗼. 𝟵𝟲, 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗮ñ𝗮𝗻𝗴 which was signed on 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓.

On this day, 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, marks the 𝟱𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 when 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬, 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐬 𝐒𝐫. declared "𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝘄" in 𝟏𝟗𝟕𝟐. Martial law refers to the various historical instances in which the Philippine head of state 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹—most prominently during the administration of Ferdinand Marcos, but also during the Philippines' colonial period.

By virtue of the 𝟏𝟗𝟑𝟓 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, the head of state can declare martial law and in practice:

- Normal laws are suspended
- Civil rights such as freedom of speech, press freedom, and right to protest are restricted.
- Military and police gain extended powers, including arrests without warrants, curfews, and strict censorship.

He claimed that it was the 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆 𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, the alleged threats of communist insurgency by the new 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 (𝐂𝐏𝐏), and the Muslim separatist movement of the 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐨 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭 (𝐌𝐍𝐋𝐅). He presented it as a way to build a "𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗶𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗻" (𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆) where discipline, order, and reform would guide the nation. Once Martial Law took effect, Congress was dissolved, 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 were arrested, 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐬 were shut down, and 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 was given broad authority to enforce Marcos' directives.

Meanwhile, the Marcos family lived 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲𝘀. Mr Marcos' wife, Imelda Marcos, 𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗵𝘂𝗴𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝘂𝘅𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, including hundreds of pairs of shoes.

As we mark its 𝟓𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐚𝐰 let us 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 the memory of those silenced, imprisoned, tortured, and killed—but 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝘀 to safeguard our future. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 may not be as great today, but by using these information we can use it and do things to make 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 great once more.

On 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟏𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 successfully conducted its 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀’ 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 for the 𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐋-𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (Academic Recovery Access Learning), bringing together students, teachers, and parents in a united effort to strengthen academic recovery and improve education.

𝐌𝐬. 𝐋𝐞𝐳𝐥𝐢𝐞 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐏. 𝐔𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐚, the Master of the Ceremony, initiated the orientation, welcoming parents, teachers, and students warmly. 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐑𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐋. 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐧 led an Invocation and the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺.

English Department Head, 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐄𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐥 𝐓. 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚, started her speech by thanking the School Principal, 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐄𝐮𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐆. 𝐑𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐠 for being present during the orientation. During Mrs. Aguanta’s speech, she explained the importance of the 𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗟-𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺, emphasizing the need to strengthen reading and comprehension skills amid the nation’s performance in the National Achievement Test (NAT). “𝙒𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥 𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢,” she asserted.

𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘂𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗚. 𝗥𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗴 emphasized the importance of the ARAL initiative in improving education standards and overall student performance. She urged parents and the community to fully cooperate to ensure the program's success. She stated, “𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙖𝙨𝙠 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙞𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩," emphasizing that support and active participation are essential for the program's long-term impact.

The orientation concluded with 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐨’s delivery of closing remarks. She expressed her gratitude to all teachers, parents, and students who will take part in the activity, noting that their presence reflected a shared commitment to education.

The ARAL Program is designed to help students overcome learning deficiencies by providing focused support in English and Filipino, particularly in reading, writing, and speaking. Through tutoring sessions and shared commitment, the program aims to expand learners' opportunities, deepen comprehension skills, and strengthen academic confidence.

On 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 buzzed with focus and anticipation as students gathered for the much-awaited 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 held at 𝗨𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗮, 𝗣𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼. With steady hands and sharp precision, players showcased their skills at the green felt, turning each match into a display of strategy, patience, and determination.

Growing up watching her dad and brother play, the sport naturally became part of her world.
