From the heart of rural Cebu, Bato’ng Bunga needs your support. 🪨
‘Bato’ng Bunga’ is an Official Entry to the 9th Sine Kabataan Film Lab & Festival 2026.
Set against the mining communities of Toledo City, Cebu, the film explores a landscape shaped by extraction—by quarries, by labor, and by generations of workers whose bodies bear the cost of survival. It follows Gregor, a miner who is slowly turning to stone, while his wife Lina and daughter Samantha struggle to carry the weight left behind.
Through elements of magic realism, Bato’ng Bunga tells a story about labor, family, and the quiet sacrifices made in communities built around extraction.
We are currently raising funds to bring this story to life. Your contribution will help cover transportation, accommodation, meals, safety measures, and essential production expenses for our cast and crew during filming in Toledo City.
Every donation, no matter the amount, helps us take one step closer to completing this film.
