SENATOR QUESTIONS DATE ON OVP ACKNOWLEDGMENT RECEIPT

Senator-Judge Erwin Tulfo questioned an acknowledgment receipt presented during the impeachment trial after noticing it was dated 22/12/26, which he interpreted as December 22, 2026, even though the confidential fund liquidation being discussed pertained to December 2022.

The receipt involved TJ Verano, who allegedly received P220,000. Former COA-Intelligence and Confidential Funds Audit Office (ICFAO) auditor Roderick Wamil testified that auditors had also flagged the discrepancy and questioned the date indicated in the document.
