LOOK: FAKE VERIFIED FACEBOOK PAGE POSING AS DSWD MEDIA ARM

A page using the name "DSWD Television" and bearing a verified badge is currently circulating online, raising concerns over the spread of unverified information.

The page has been posting content related to the influenza virus and other current events—none of which have been confirmed or released by legitimate government agencies, including the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) or the Department of Health (DOH).

Despite its verified badge on Facebook, there is no official media outlet or communications arm of the DSWD under the name "DSWD Television."

San Remigio, one of the hardest-hit areas, reported 15 fatalities and 86 injuries, with many homes and buildings damaged or destroyed. The earthquake's impact on the community has been profound, making initiatives like this outreach program crucial for the emotional and psychological recovery of the children.
