Today is World Day for International Justice, also referred to as the Day of International Criminal Justice.

This day marks the anniversary of the adoption of the Rome Statute on July 17, 1998, the founding treaty of the International Criminal Court (ICC), which seeks to protect people from genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and the crime of aggression.

In light of the ongoing genocide being inflicted upon the people of Palestine and the ICC investigation involving former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for his alleged crimes against humanity, the call for justice resounds more urgently than ever, reminding us to stay informed, get involved, and speak up for those whose voices have been silenced.

Let us amplify our voices and stand firm in our call for justice!

FYI: Due to adverse weather conditions, all classes will transition to remote learning on July 17, 2025, as the university conducts safety assessments of campus facilities.

Students with hospital duties or internships are advised to coordinate with their respective departments.

EARLIER: Following a heavy rainfall, classes and work have been suspended in Southwestern University PHINMA.

Hallways, classrooms, and facilities have been damaged, with waterlogged areas forcing students to evacuate to a safer place.

Students and staff are advised to stay safe and take caution while moving around the campus.

SWU DEPLOYS TRANSPORT, SUSPENDS CLASSES AMID HEAVY RAIN

JUST IN: Due to heavy rainfall, the university deploys vans and buses to transport students stuck on campus to designated drop-off points, from PHINMA Hall and West Campus to SeaOil Bacalso Ave. branch, Cebu City.

In line with this, the admin suspends all work and class operations beyond 3:30 PM.
