"My experience during shore leave"
I went out to witness the beautiful place, buy some souvenirs, and unwind. Outside the port, two guys approached us, claiming to be a 'pilots.' I was hesitant, thinking he might be one of the scammers I'd read about online, targeting seafarers. They kept talking to us while we walked, and since it was my first time in the country, I felt obligated to engage. I asked them for directions to the mall, and they said, 'That's why we're here; we're pilots.' I asked what they meant, and they replied, "We're tour guides". Tang*na kasi iba yung piloto sa pagkakaalam ko. 😂 So i asked them "how much my friend if you will be our tour guide"? The good thing sabi niya "its up to you my friend"? Pero sa isip2 ko potcha baka kung ilan yung iibigay ko dun nato mag rereklamo. Pero sabi ko bahala na andito na kami sa labas eh. No choice na. 😂 Nung naglalakad na kami maayos naman yung dalawa. Daming shinashare na mga na experience din ng ibang bisita dun sa lugar nila. Like "Don't exchange money anywhere, a lot of fake money here". So yun dun naging kampante na kami. Dinala kami dun sa kakilala nila na nagpapalit ng dollar which sinearch namin online palitan goods naman almost same lng. So yun sabi ko eto maayos nga to. So while naglalakad kami andami kong nakikita na matatanda pero nagtratrabaho pa din. Like street vendor nila dun medyo may edad (senior) na din yung iba. So sabi ko sa pilots namin na kain lang at shopping then goods na kami. Kasi mga par hindi sa judgemental ako pero parang iba talaga yung lugar. So yun pinakain namin sila. Nung pauwi na kami eto na.
One old guy approached us, trying to sell some Watch ⌚️and i engaged with the old guy. So i asked him "why are you still working, it would be better if you stay at home and relax. Do you have any family?"
He smiled and replied': I just want to give a little advice about life. If you feel that i am old enough and running out of time already to enjoy life. Or maybe you feel that you are running out of time chasing your dreams? Just do what the watch ⌚️does: Keep going, Never stop. 💯🥺.
So i bought the watch. So nung pauwi na kami wala akong ibang ginawa kung di tiningnan ko lng yung relo hanggang sa nakarating kami ulit sa barko.
Pag dating ko sa cabina ko nilagay ko yung relo sa gilid ng higaan ko. At dun napansin ko na hindi na siya UMAANDAR 😭😭😭.
