INAUGURAL CONVENTION OF THE PYDC

It is a big day for the youth of the province to celebrate!

For the first time ever in the Province, the Provincial Youth Development Council convened. The Council is, by operation of law, chaired by the SK President Loren Singco and with VP Philline Pasaol as Vice Chair. With the help of Miss Mikee and Miss Marven, the Province has gathered 16 youth serving and youth organizations that sit as members in the council.

With Governor Pam Baricuatro’s 8 point Agenda, the Provincial Youth Development Plan will be drafted by the SK Federation and finalized by PYDC.

𝗣𝗣𝗦𝗞 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 ✨

The Panlalawigang Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan (PPSK) of Cebu Province, headed by PPSK President Hon. Loren Singco, convenend its 7th Regular Session together with the SK Presidents from across the province to discuss key legislative priorities and youth development initiatives. During the session, the Executive Branch, through Marven Gorgonio, presented the 8-Point Youth Agenda for the Province of Cebu.

In partnership with Vice Governor Glenn Soco, the PPSK Cebu is also set to organize a Legislative Parliamentary Seminar to strengthen the capacity of SK officials in legislative processes, policy-making, and good governance. This session highlights the federation’s continuous commitment to empowering youth leaders who embody integrity, unity, and service for the Cebuano youth. 💛

A productive Consultative Meeting was held today, October 17, 2025, at the Cebu Provincial Capitol PPSK Office with the Dance Council of Cebu and the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation Presidents of the Province of Cebu — Hon. Loren S. Singco, Cebu City — Hon. Rhea Mae Jakosalem, Mandaue City — Hon. Fleuritz Gayle Jumao-as, and Lapu-Lapu City — Hon. Orlan Joseph Carungay.

The event is spearheaded by the Dance Council of Cebu through Mhike Jelord Rollo, Cathy Vestil and Victor Hao Cuenco.

The meeting centered on plans for a Fundraising Event for the North, fostering collaboration between youth leaders and the cultural sector to support meaningful initiatives for our communities.

Commendations to our dedicated leaders and partners for their continued commitment to service, creativity, and unity in purpose.

The PPSK Cebu Province team continued their journey across Northern Cebu, delivering relief goods provided and donated by generous private donors and SK Federation counterparts. These efforts aimed to extend much-needed aid and comfort to communities affected by recent calamities.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who shared their blessings and extended help their donations have reached the deserving and most in-need families in the north. We also extend our appreciation to Tabogon SK President Neo Lobitana and Daanbantayan SK President Crystal Jo Rodrigo for meeting us on-site and guiding our team to affected and less-served areas, ensuring that no one was left behind.

Together with Vice Governor Glenn Soco and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan team, Board Member Loren Singco joined the visit to the affected municipalities to extend much-needed assistance.

Meanwhile, the PPSK Office and team made their way to Daanbantayan, Sogod, and San Remigio—bringing supplies and relief goods to communities in need. Along the way, the team also reached out to inner areas and far-flung barangays that had yet to receive aid, ensuring that no one was left behind in this effort to help our fellow Cebuanos recover.

Yesterday, together with the PPSK CEBU PROVINCE Team and our dedicated youth volunteers, we were able to bring relief goods to the northern part of Cebu.

We made sure not only to reach the main areas, but also the mountain communities and inner sitios that are harder to access - places where help does not often reach, but where many were truly in need. ❤️

We are also grateful to SK Presidents Stephan Baura of San Remigio and Venus Barro of Medellin for meeting and assisting our team during the distribution.
