𝐍𝐘𝐂 𝐃𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐄𝐅 𝐎𝐅 𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇 𝐃𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐏𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐃𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐒 𝐏𝐏𝐒𝐊 𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐄

Following the technical meeting, the NYC Division Chief for Regional Youth Development Division - Atty. James Caeser Ventura and Mr. Sydney Josef Torreneuva drops by the PPSK Office to share about the current vision of NYC as well as the future programs for SK.

The SK has currently been under the radar of critics even warranting comments of its abolishment. It is NYC’s goal to ease the governance of SK so that even SK from barangays with less resources and financial capacity may still create and implement fruitful programs.

PPSK President Loren Singco together with Governor’s Office represented by Marven Gorgonio met with NYC Representatives Cherry Malate, Cybel Tantay, and Mitch Vargas to talk about the importance and relevance of a Youth Development Office in the Province of Cebu.

Their meeting includes the role of the PYDO in solidifying programs for youth. Under the office of PPSK Singco, Hayes Reyes and Stanley Agustin also joined the said meeting.

The meeting was held last September 18, 2025.

NATIONAL SK PRESIDENT VISITS CEBU PROVINCE SK AT THE CAPITOL LEGISLATIVE BUILDING

Thank you Ex Officio Commissioner of NYC and National SK President CJ Dalipe for dropping by at the Capitol Legislative Building!

The short meeting was a kamustahan and ocular visit for Commissioner’s Youth Congress to be held in Cebu. She was able to share her stance on current issues and problems tackled by SK.

The meeting was graced by PPSK President and BM Lawrence Ancla of Bohol Province, NYC Representatives Cybel Tantes and Mitch Vargas.

SK Presidents Yña Lascuña (Barili), Cris de Jesus (Toledo City), Marmie Abellar (Pinamungajan), Beryl Encabo (Tuburan), Stephan Baura (San Remigio), & Steve Lawrence Tibon (Aloguinsan) were also present in the meeting.

Vice Governor also met and hosted Commissioner in his office, thank you VG Glenn Soco for your never-ending support for the SK & youth!

Board Member and PPSK President Loren Singco convened a meeting of the Committee on Sports and Youth Development.
Present were Head of HR Department Ms. Lilia Villasin, Provincial Budget Officer Mr. Danilo Rodas, and representatives from other board members.

Discussions focused on the proposed ordinance creating the Cebu Provincial Youth Development Code, the Cebu Provincial Youth Development Council, and the allocation of necessary funds, as part of continued efforts to strengthen youth and sports programs across the province.

The Sugbo Kahanas Skills Development Program once again empowered our graduates today through the distribution of starter toolkits and TESDA NC II certificates.

The ceremony was graced by Cebu Governor Pamela “Pam” Baricuatro, Vice Governor Glenn Anthony Soco, and members of the Provincial Board, with the support of the Provincial Director of TESDA and the Regional Director of the Department of Migrant Workers.

This milestone is a celebration of new opportunities—equipping every graduate with the tools, skills, and confidence to build a brighter future for themselves and their families.

This Sunday, the 2025 Provincial Youth Fair kicks off — a big celebration bringing together SKs from all over Cebu, with the dream of gathering all young Cebuanos soon.

After years of fewer programs for the youth, Gov. Pamela Baricuatro is making sure the spotlight is back where it belongs — on the next generation. This is just the start of more exciting programs, more opportunities, and more spaces where the youth can lead, learn, and shine.

Expect engaging discussions, inspiring guests, and lots of fun moments that remind us: in Cebu, the youth will always be a priority.

Presenting the Cebu Province Youth Fair: ABTIK Conversations. It is designed to give Cebuano youth leaders a platform to connect, learn, and lead.
