Earlier today, Board Member Loren S. Singco joined other officials in the opening of Cebu Province’s 456th Founding Anniversary.

The ceremony began with a flag-raising to honor Cebu’s rich history. Governor Pamela Baricuatro led a tree planting as a symbol of unity and service.

Officials also visited the Tabo sa Kapitolyo booths showcasing local products.

The event emphasized support for heritage, community, and sustainable growth.

Today, we warmly welcomed the youth officials from San Juan City, Manila including their LYDO, NYC representatives, and PYDP adviser for a meaningful benchmarking visit. Their presence, alongside John Russel Ilagan, Eric, Armando Angeles, Elyrose Ruizo, Arbie Magbitang, and Sarah Dominguez, sparked inspiring conversations with Board Member Loren S. Singco, PPSK President of Cebu Province.

They also had the opportunity to tour the Cebu Provincial Capitol, visit the Session Hall, meet Vice Governor Glenn Anthony O. Soco, 1st District Board Member Lakambini “Neneth” Generans Reluya, and Atty. Angelica Arnaiz. A truly engaging and enriching day for youth development!

We were honored to welcome the Sangguniang Kabataan officials from the Municipality of Lawaan, Eastern Samar, during their recent benchmarking activity here in Cebu Province. The purpose of their visit was to gain valuable insights from the Cebu Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Office (CPADAO) and its best practices in implementing sustainable, youth-led, and community-centered anti-drug initiatives.

This meaningful exchange was made even more impactful with the presence of Board Member Loren S. Singco, our PPSK President of Cebu Province, who represented our office and warmly received the delegation. We also extend our appreciation to SK President of Lawaan, Sian M. Ecaldre, for leading the group with enthusiasm and purpose.

Representatives from both the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Cebu Province and the Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) of Lawaan were also in attendance, further underscoring the importance of collaborative governance and inter-LGU learning.

This visit reflects the shared commitment of our youth leaders and government partners to strengthen local policies and programs that promote a drug-free, empowered, and resilient generation. Here’s to stronger ties and continued youth-driven progress!
