Mount Pulag is Luzon's highest peak at 2,928 metres above sea level, third-highest mountain in the Philippines, and the 26th-highest peak of an island on Earth. It is second-most prominent mountain in the Philippines, it is a dormant volcano.

The whole park is located within the Philippine Cordillera Mountain Range and is very rugged, characterized by steep to very steep slopes at the mountainsides and generally rolling areas at the mountain peak. Mt. Pulag National Park is the highest peak in Luzon and is the second highest mountain in the Philippines with an elevation of 2,922 m. above sea level.

The summit of Mt. Pulag is covered with grass and dwarf bamboo plants. At lower elevations, the mountainside has a mossy forest veiled with fog, and full of ferns, lichens and moss. Below this is the pine forest growing on barren, rocky slopes. Falls, rivers and small lakes mark the area.

'Till then, MAJESTIC MT. PULAG!

"The barong tagalog, more commonly known simply as barong, is an embroidered long-sleeved formal shirt for men and a national dress of the Philippines. Barong tagalog combines elements from both the precolonial native Filipino and colonial Spanish clothing styles. "

Mossy forest!

"The journey to reach the destination will be surreal as you will encounter a maleficent-like, enchanted, and mystical forest with thick moss hugging nearly every tree in the forest. The air is often covered by mist and clouds can be seen between the trees, creating a breathtaking and glorious experience of nature."

It is also where I had that minor accident since it was still dark (early morning) when we passed by before going up to the summit. Miscalculated my steps and boom! What comes to my mind at that time is to hold whatever I can grab, just to save me from falling down the cliff. Thought it was! My nephew who was behind me and our tour guide infront of me both grab my hands and helped me. Then proceed to Camp 2 for our breakfast and up to the summit.

We had all this clips and pictures of the mossy forest on our way back to the base camp, since it was already almost noon. And checked where I landed. It's a bit of a cliff but if I did not hold on to that boulder and grass, I might have scratches all over. Trees with gnarled trunks and branches will save me from falling down though.

Till then, majestic Mt Pulag!
