CEBU CITY, Philippinesโ The NU Cebu School Press Conference (NUCSPC) 2026 concluded with a closing program that recognized the accomplishments of student journalists, judges, and resource persons who contributed to the success of the conference.
The program opened with an invocation led by Ms. Mary Delos Reyes, followed by a presentation of the conference highlights and accomplishments by Drey Cagado. Mr. Dwight John Florida, representing the Board of Judges, delivered a message reflecting on the participantsโ performance and emphasizing the importance of responsible and meaningful campus journalism.
Dr. Von Daniel Plasencia led the recognition of the Board of Judges and resource persons for their time, expertise, and guidance throughout the conference. Their contributions provided the participants with valuable insights and strengthened their preparation for the succeeding stages of competition.
The awarding ceremony, led by the judges, Dr. Von Daniel Plasencia, and Mr. Kenth Andre D. Lara, recognized student journalists who excelled in their respective categories and earned the opportunity to represent NU Cebu at the upcoming Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2026.
The closing program concluded with a message from Ms. Cheska Tiu, who encouraged the student journalists to carry essence of journalism towards comforting truth. The NU Hymn formally closed NUCSPC 2026, bringing together the student journalists, organizers, judges, and resource persons in celebration of the conferenceโs accomplishments.
