Before the day ends, let us pause to offer a prayer for Tj, Marianne, and Niño—three beautiful souls whose presence may be lost to this life but whose light will forever shine in our hearts.

In their memory, we also give thanks for the survival of PJ Tolo, Rene Magno, Danilo Jamz, Syvert Caminade Tan, Ricky Juezan, Keisshia Cunanan, and Herrero Yvonne, who remind us of the fragility of life and the strength of the human spirit.

May they continue to carry their light and love forward.

Today, we pause to remember our beloved Tj on what would have been her 34th birthday. She may no longer be with us in person, but her spirit, kindness, and the love she shared continue to live in our hearts.

As we reflect on the beautiful memories she left behind, let us say a prayer for her, offering our gratitude for the way she touched our lives so deeply.

The photo shared here was of her happiest birthday ever, a moment that perfectly captured the joy and love she radiated. Let us honor her by keeping that light alive in our hearts.

A novena of masses will be offered in her honor at the National Shrine of Saint Joseph in Mandaue and Berhin sa Regla in Lapulapu at 12:15 PM each day for the next nine days. May we find comfort in these moments of prayer and unity as we celebrate her life and keep her legacy alive.

It's only by God's grace that I've endured her absence. Despite a year-long search effort by the Philippines Coast Guard, TJ and three others remain missing after their vessel, the M/Y Dream Keeper, tragically capsized in a sudden squall. This heart-wrenching ordeal has left TJ's children, Jian and Bella, grappling with devastating loss, especially Bella, who tragically lost both parents, with her father perishing in a previous diving incident.

Though I can't bring her back, I'm committed to honoring TJ's memory by caring for those she cherished most. June 9, 2023, will mark the 40th day since the unfortunate event that caused our friends TJ, Nino and Marianne to get lost at sea. We, their friends and families, have gone through a wide range of emotions including fear, despair, anger, sadness, deep longing, and hope. We’ve pushed through different stages of denial and acceptance. 40 days of uncertainty and the daily struggles of managing our emotions.

Even so, at the 40th day, we choose to celebrate them. So on June 9, 2023 will gather together at Kontiki Dive Resort to celebrate and honor them through the Holy Mass at 5pm and a lamp lighting and flower letting ceremony at the sea side. As it is a gathering, there will be food and there will be music.

Everyone is requested to wear our themed shirts.
