Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya (April 7, 2026)- Forty heads of Brahman cattle were awarded to to***co farmers in Bagabag town as part of efforts to boost rural livelihoods and strengthen the provinceβs agriculture sector.
The distribution is part of a β±2-million agricultural support program aimed at helping farmers diversify income sources and improve productivity. Beneficiaries are members of local farmersβ groups engaged in to***co production.
Eduardo Jasmin, president of the farmersβ association, welcomed the assistance, saying it affirms the importance of to***co farmersβ contributions to the local economy. He also called for continued prioritization of farmers in development programs.
Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Veterinarian Dr. Patricio Moreno said measures are in place to ensure the sustainability of the project, including regular veterinary services such as vaccinations and health monitoring every six months.
Governor Jose V. Gambito emphasized the provincial governmentβs commitment to agriculture, noting that many residents rely on farming for their livelihood, and said more programs are being pursued to support farmers and ensure long-term growth in the sector.
