𝐏𝐔𝐒𝐎, 𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐋, 𝐀𝐓 𝐆𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐀 𝐒𝐀 𝐁𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐍!

Every September, the country observes Civil Service Month to recognize the contributions of government workers who serve the public and support nation-building.

The observance follows Presidential Proclamation No. 1050, series of 1997, which commemorates the establishment of the Philippine Civil Service on September 19, 1900, through Public Law No. 5.

This year, the nation marks the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary with the theme, “𝑩𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒕 𝑲𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒊, 𝑳𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒌𝒐𝒅 𝑩𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒊: 𝑷𝒖𝒔𝒐, 𝑫𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒍, 𝒂𝒕 𝑮𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒂 𝒔𝒂 𝑩𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏.”

With more than two million government workers across the country, the observance recognizes their dedication, integrity, and commitment to public service.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝐑𝐞-𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕

The Edifice Publication has been officially re-accredited after taking part in the Student Publication accreditation and re-accreditation process led by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) on September 2.

The publication’s executives, editors, heads, and staffs attended the scheduled interview and orientation from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at the New Tandem Office.

The session was part of the three-day accreditation and re-accreditation process set by OSAS through Memorandum No. 2026-0010, which runs from September 2 to 4.

The Edifice Publication is set to continue its work in delivering campus news and stories while representing the voices and experiences of the student community.

Today, the whole nation pays tribute to the sacrifices, deeds, and heroism of the people who shaped our history. This national commemoration reflects how Filipinos honor their heroes throughout the years.

Under Republic Act No. 3827, passed by the Philippine Legislature on October 28, 1931, National Heroes Day is observed every last Sunday of August.

As we celebrate this day, may we always remember every person who bravely fought for our country's freedom. May their hardships and bravery always be remembered by generations to come. Their heroic feats will forever be etched in our history and will always remain in the hearts of every Filipino.

The Commission on Population and Development–Region 1 (CPD–R1) leads the observance of Family Planning Month 2026 this August, with the theme "𝑨𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝑴𝑨𝑹𝑻 𝒏𝒂 𝑷𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚𝒂, 𝑷𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒐! 𝑻𝒂𝒓𝒂, 𝑼𝒔𝒂𝒑 𝑻𝒂𝒚𝒐 𝒔𝒂 𝑭𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈."

Higher education institutions such as the University of Northern Philippines (UNP) are encouraged to join in promoting the event through the use of Family Planning Month materials, social media posts, sharing family planning success stories, and information related activities.

The campaign highlights the SMART approach to family planning that is:

𝑺– Sama-samang nagpaplano
𝑴– May tamang kaalaman
𝑨– Aktibong nagpapasya para sa kalusugan
𝑹– Responsableng pagpapamilya
𝑻– Tiyak na may magandang kinabukasan

The campaign also advocates informed discussions about family planning and encourages individuals and their families to make responsible decisions that support their health, well-being, and future.
