Something to ponder that actually makes sense.

Trying to Fit in where I was never held.
There’s a kind of loneliness that doesn’t come from being alone.
It comes from being in the room… and still feeling invisible.

You smile. You nod. You try to match their rhythm.
But deep down, your soul is whispering: “You don’t belong here.”

For the longest time, I thought that was my fault.
That I was too quiet. Too loud. Too sensitive. Too different.
So I bent. I shrank. I rehearsed my laughs and softened my opinions.
I tried to sand down my edges just to fit into spaces that never saved me a corner.

And it hurt. God, it hurt.
Because nothing breaks you like pretending to be someone you’re not, just to be kept.

But here’s what my heart knows now — and I hope yours hears it too:

If you have to force it, it’s not your space.
If you weren’t included, you weren’t meant to contort yourself to fit.

Exclusion isn’t always cruelty. Sometimes, it’s protection.
It’s life pulling you away from tables where you’d only be tolerated,
so you can find the one where you’re welcomed.

You don’t have to decode inside jokes you were never told.
You don’t have to beg for eye contact in a room that looks past you.
You don’t have to keep showing up where your name feels heavy in their mouth.

Let them go. Let it go.

Because the moment I stopped trying to fit in, I started to come home to myself.
I remembered how my own laugh sounds when it’s not performed.
I remembered how peace feels when I’m not negotiating for my worth.

You are not hard to love.
You are not “too much” or “not enough.”
You were just in the wrong room, darling.

And the right room?
It won’t ask you to bleed to belong.
It won’t need you to dim to be kept.
It will see you — the real, unedited, whole you — and say, “There you are. We’ve been waiting.”

So no, don’t fit in where you weren’t included.
Grieve it. Release it. Then lift your head.

Your people aren’t the ones who missed you.
Your people are the ones who would miss you.

Keep walking. Your table is still being set.
And when you sit down, you won’t have to shrink to fit the chair.
The chair was made for you. 🤍

BCBP NAC 46
Run the Race, Reap the Harvest.

From the moment delegates arrived, you could feel it wasn’t just another conference. It was a reunion of brothers and sisters in Christ, united by the mission of evangelizing the marketplace. The halls were filled with familiar greetings, quick catch-ups over coffee, and the kind of conversations that only happen when people share the same calling.

The sessions ran smoothly in the IEC’s spacious halls, but what stood out most were the moments in between. Small groups huddled by the corridors, old friends reconnecting after years, and first-timers welcomed like family. Cebu’s warmth matched the spirit inside the venue.

For BCBP Angeles City, it was a chance to stand shoulder to shoulder with the wider BCBP community, to listen, to learn, and to bring back renewed purpose for our own chapter. NAC 46 reminded us that while we serve in different cities, we’re part of one body working toward the same mission.
