Soon, GSIS members may power their homes with solar energy.

The Ginhawa Solar Energy Loan (GSEL) will allow qualified members to borrow up to ₱500,000 to install solar panel systems at home.

✔ 5% annual interest
✔ Up to 5 years to pay
✔ Monthly amortization: ₱10,416.67 (for ₱500,000 loan)
✔ 3-year insurance coverage
✔ No service fee

Applications will be processed through the GSIS Touch App.

Available to GSIS members with permanent, regular, or career status only.

SOLAR ENERGY LOAN. Government workers can now borrow up to PHP500,000 to invest and install solar panel systems in their homes.

Under Government Service Insurance System's Ginhawa Solar Energy Loan (GSEL) financing program, loans carry a 5 percent annual interest rate, payable over five years in 60 equal monthly installments, with no service fee.

According to GSIS, applications will be processed entirely through the GSIS Touch mobile app, where members can upload supplier quotations, installation contracts, or official receipts for reimbursement.

The program supports the national government’s push for energy conservation as tensions in the Middle East drive up global oil prices and put pressure on electricity costs.
