Declogging of Waterways

This project aims to restore the flow of water and prevent flooding or other related issues. This involves removing blockages like debris, silt, and garbage to ensure proper drainage and prevent overflow.
Clogged drainage systems can't effectively handle water flow, leading to flooding, especially during heavy rains.
Declogging can also improve public health by preventing the spread of diseases that can be associated with standing water and poor sanitation.

This program is a project of Brgy. Buenavista through the leadership of Punong Barangay Bernabe A. Ancheta with the help of LGU-Claveria headed by Mayor Lucille Angelus Guillen.

Buenavista SCs attend Free Film Viewing

Six (6) Senior Citizens of Barangay Buenavista together with Child Development Worker Divina D. Abrinicia participated in the Free Film viewing held at Robinsons Place, Ilocos Norte on July 31, 2025.

The senior citizens who joined were:
1.Ignacio Consolacion Jr.
2.Recto Villanueva
3.Jose Guinsatao
4.Evangeline Vega
5.Jolly Guinsatao
6.Aida Ballesteros

The free film viewing is a program of the Local Government Unit of Claveria headed by Hon. Lucille Angelus G. Yapo that aims to create memories and to appreciate the contributions of the elderly.

Free transport and free meals are also provided to the SCs. #

Buenavista culminates Nutrition Month 2025;
CDW Pupils showcase Nutri-Attire and Coloring Skills

In order to promote healty lifestyle, brgy. Buenavista in partnership with the Child Develpment Center celebrated Nutrition Month 2025 with the theme: "Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat.", held on July 29, 2025 at Buenavista Barangay Hall.

Highlighting the occasion is the different contested events such as Search for Best Nutri-Attire, Best in Coloring, Biggest Talong, and Longest Sitao. The winners are:
Best Nutri-Attire (Female) - Zhaniah Amelie Crisostomo
Best Nutri-Attire (Male) - Mark Chrisitian Lagutan
Best in Coloring - Zhaniah Amelie Crisostomo
Biggest Talong - Jessa Mae Nebab
Longest Sitao - Mariecris Lagutan

Mrs. Grace Abad, Barangay Nutrition Scholar, delivered in her message that "Health is Wealth". She also reminded the parents to feed their kids to eat Go, Grow and Glow and to be a role model to eat vegetables. Further, she said to the parents to do possible sources for nutritious foods such as putting up a backyard garden and poultry. Moreover, allowing the kids to participate in the garden activities.

The program was attended by the Barangay Officials, Child Development Worker and Pupils, BNS, BHWs, other barangay personnel, and 0-59 months old kids.

After the program, a feeding activity was done. #

BDRRMC convenes meeting re: Typhoon 'Crising'

(July 17, 2025.) Today at 6pm, the Barangay Officials of Brgy. Buenavista conducted BDRRMC meeting to discuss the pre-emptive measures, to direct the officials' tasks before, during and after the typhoon.

The typhoon is expected to landfall, tomorrow.
