Tagaytay is a popular holiday town south of Manila on the Philippine island Luzon. Known for its mild climate, it sits on a ridge above Taal Volcano Island, an active volcano surrounded by Taal Lake. Overlooking the area, People’s Park in the Sky occupies the grounds of a never-finished presidential mansion. Picnic Grove is a recreation area with trails and a zip line.

Tagaytay secures its place on most Philippines itineraries with its location above Taal Volcano's active crater. Views of the crater lake and a refreshingly cool climate make the town an enticing destination—not to mention the famously unfinished People's Park in the Sky.

Oriental Mindoro is a province in the Philippines situated in the MIMAROPA Region grouped under the Luzon island group. Its capital is the City of Calapan.

The province has a land area of 4,238.38 square kilometers or 1,636.45 square miles. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 908,339. This represented 28.13% of the total population of the MIMAROPA Region, 1.46% of the overall population of the Luzon island group, or 0.83% of the entire population of the Philippines. Based on these figures, the population density is computed at 214 inhabitants per square kilometer or 555 inhabitants per square mile.
