I probably wouldn’t have noticed this before.

Just a bunch of birds sitting on the wires outside our place, doing absolutely nothing. 😂

But lately, I find myself noticing little things like this more.

Sometimes the dreams that matter most don’t look impressive on the outside.

They don’t come with titles or big announcements.

Sometimes they are simply about the kind of life you want to wake up to each day.

A slower morning.
A quieter place.
More time with the people you love.

For a long time, I wondered if wanting a life like that meant thinking too small.

But maybe the size of a dream isn’t measured by how big it looks to others.

Maybe it’s measured by how deeply it feels right to you.

The actual oven has finally arrived. 🥹

It’s funny how little things like this feel like milestones when you’re building something from scratch in a new place.

We’ve been slowly putting Payapa Stay together, one piece at a time — and now we finally have an oven in the kitchen. 🤍

One day, guests will be using this kitchen to cook their own meals, have coffee, make breakfast, and spend slow mornings together.
For now, I’m just happy to see it here.

I never thought baboy ramo would be something I'd be cooking at home.

This was actually my first time trying it.

I've heard people say it's really good, so naturally, I was curious.

I was also warned that it needs to be boiled for quite a while to make the meat tender.

So that's what we did.

It's funny how moving somewhere new also changes the things that end up on your dinner table.

Back home, there were foods we were used to seeing all the time.

Here in Palawan, we're slowly discovering ingredients and dishes that weren't part of our usual meals before.

Some become favorites.

Some are just things we try once.

And some make you think, Okay, I didn't expect to be eating this. 😄

This one was definitely one of those.

Another little first in our life here. 🌿
