The Unseen Hand: Support for a Teacher's Dream
As the fluorescent lights of the classroom and once again observed countless hopeful faces of teacher I applicants, one particular scene unfolded before me that truly captured the essence of partnership.
A young woman teacher I aspirant, a bit nervous but ready, was getting her teaching stuff in order for her demonstration.
Right next to her, a man, who I guessed was her partner, was helping her out. He was very good at it, not saying much but doing a lot. He carried her colorful charts and pictures, putting them exactly where she wanted and making sure it was straight. He looked like he was helping with his own presentation, that's how focused he was. You could tell they were working together, even without talking. His help and just being there showed how much he cared.
It was a small, kind moment in a busy place. But it showed me something important: often, behind someone trying to achieve a big goal, there's someone else helping them. And sometimes, that helper is their loving partner who understands what their job is all about and what they want to achieve.
It really teaches us that your partner should know what you do for work for them to understand how it hard and be there to support you in it.They see the effort we put in, the preparation, and the stress. Because of this, they are often the only ones we feel comfortable sharing our daily struggles with. And in return, their comfort means so much, because they've seen firsthand what we're really doing and how hard we try.
Love you partners, for they are your comfort zones, when your work cannot comfort you anymore🥰🥰
