BASAHIN ANG MENSAHE NG LBO PRESIDENT HASHIM MANTICAYAN KAUGNAY NG PAGPOSTPON NG PARLIAMENT ELECTION SA OCTOBER 13,2025.
"LBO member-organizations, there is a potential postponement of the October 13, 2025, Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections (BPE), we have roles in shaping the Bangsamoro region’s future".
"We share your deep concern and disappointment over the uncertainty surrounding the scheduled Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections on October 13, 2025".
"The elections—meant to be the first of their kind under the Bangsamoro Organic Law—represent more than just a political event. They are a promise of peace, a fulfillment of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB), and a constitutional affirmation of your right to choose your leaders through democratic means".
"Unfortunately, due to the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) issued by the Supreme Court against Bangsamoro Autonomy Act No. 77 (BAA 77), the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has been compelled to suspend its preparations. This legal challenge has created a delay that may affect the conduct of the elections as scheduled".
"We understand the dismay this brings. Many of you have waited years for this moment—to cast your vote, to be heard, and to help shape the future of the Bangsamoro region through elected leadership rather than appointed governance. We assure you: your voice still matters, and your right to self-determination remains at the heart of our collective struggle".
"We call on all stakeholders—especially the Supreme Court and COMELEC—to act with urgency, clarity, and respect for the Bangsamoro people's mandate. We also urge our communities to remain vigilant, peaceful, and united. The path to lasting peace is not without obstacles, but together, we will overcome them".
"Let us continue to advocate, engage, and prepare. The Bangsamoro dream lives on—and it is powered by your resilience".
In solidarity,
LBO President Hashim Manticayan.
