The festivities began with a grand Parade from Cotabato City Plaza to the CSU Sports Complex, setting the stage for a day full of spirit, unity, and pride.

The Raising of the CSU Banner was proudly led by University President Prof. Sema G. Dilna, EdD, along with our Vice Presidents - Dr. Kundo M. Pahm, Jr. (VP for Academic Affairs), Dr. Abdulsamad S. Shaik (VP for Administration and Finance), and Dr. Teng A. Alim (VP for Research, Extension and Resource Generation). Meanwhile, the Raising of the different College Banners was led by the College Deans.

The crowd cheered as the Ceremonial Lighting of the Torch and Urn was performed by the SCUAA 2025 Silver Medalists in Arnis: Mr. Jeffrey S. Co**ha, Mr. Jamer Mishaโ€™al E. Mohamad, and Mr. April Jude O. Punzalan, together with the College Governors led by USC President Mr. Jammil Hashr M. Luminda.

Inspiring words from the Guest Speaker, Dr. Fhike T. Abdulrahman, President of the CSU Alumni Association, fuelled the spirit of excellence and unity among students. In his message, Dr. Abdulrahman acknowledged the leadership of CSUโ€™s President, VPs, and faculty, and mentioned that in CSU, students are considered as โ€œdreamers, achievers, and leaders in the making.โ€ Sports teach discipline and teamwork, the arts inspire expression and creativity, and culture connects students to their roots, strengthening their identity as CotSUans. Kandaludaya 2025 is more than an event โ€” itโ€™s a living testimony of what young people can achieve when united.

And to cap it off, a breathtaking Dance Production from the BPEd students lit up the stage - a true celebration of movement and culture.

The Saludo and Banner Competition dazzled the crowd and showed off the creativity and pride of every College.

This day is just the beginning โ€” KANDALUDAYA 2025 is in full swing! Get ready for a week full of passion, talent, and unity as we showcase the best of CSU in sports competitions, cultural performances, and artistic brilliance.

The KANDALUDAYA 2025, with the theme โ€œTeam Spirit and Culture in Action: A Festival of Sports and Artsโ€, is an annual event aimed at fostering camaraderie, sportsmanship, and unity within the Graduate School community. This yearโ€™s event will be held on October 11, 2025.

In line with this, all Graduate School faculty and students are required to attend the said activity. Attendance will be strictly monitored and will form part of the official university records for co-curricular and faculty engagement activities. Faculty members are therefore expected to actively participate in and support the event, and to ensure student attendance and engagement.

Cotabato State University successfully conducted its Board of Regents meeting at the Conference Room, College of Law, presided over by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner, Hon. Desiderio R. Apag III, D.Eng., PCpE, Chairperson of the CSU Board of Regents.

Present during the session were University President and Vice Chairperson of the Board, Hon. Sema G. Dilna, EdD; Hon. Esmael M. Ali, PhD (Faculty Association President); Hon. Fhike T. Abdulrahman, PhD (Alumni Association President); Hon. Jammil Hashr M. Luminda (University Student Council President); Asst. Prof. Fatima D. Kasan, MIT (Board Secretary), Hon. Phlorita A. Ridao (Regional Director of the Department of Economy, Planning and Development XII), and Hon. Jude A. Acidre (House of Representatives), represented by Jeremy M. Madroรฑal, who attended virtually. Following the productive session, a friendly basketball game was held to promote camaraderie and wellness among participants. The exciting match featured players from Cotabato State University, J.H. Cerilles State College โ€“ Pagadian City Campus, and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

The event was not only a celebration of academic progress but also of unity, sportsmanship, and the spirit of cooperation among institutions.
