Today, we honor the courage, unity, and unwavering faith of the Filipino people during the historic EDSA People Power Revolution. A moment when ordinary citizens stood together along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue to peacefully defend truth, justice, and freedom. Armed with prayers, hope, and love for country, they proved that real power lies in the hands of a united people.

As a school community, we are reminded that the spirit of EDSA lives on in our shared vision. We strive to form individuals who are morally upright, socially responsible, and committed to nation-building. Just as EDSA called Filipinos to courage and integrity, our vision challenges us to become persons of character, leaders who stand for what is right, serve others with compassion, and actively contribute to a just and humane society.

May this anniversary inspire us not only to remember history, but to embody its lessons in our classrooms, in our choices, and in our daily lives. The true legacy of EDSA continues when we live out our school’s vision with faith, excellence, and a heart for service.

February 1, 2026, marks the 90th year of igniting hearts and transforming lives at Loyola College of Culion. The event began with a special mass at La Inmaculada Concepcion Parish at 9:30 in the morning, presided over by Bp. Broderick Pabillo, DD, along with Fr. Neupito Saicon Jr., SJ, Fr. Patrick Echevarria, SJ, Fr. Enrico Uy, Fr. Andrew Litigio, OFM, and Fr. Markus Luber, SJ. Attendees included students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and guests. The mass lasted one and a half hours and concluded with a prayer for the 90th foundation anniversary, led by Dr. Arturo C. Cunanan, Jr.

Following the mass, there was a motorcade, accompanied by the Drum and Lyre of Taginting. The motorcade started from LCC to Brgy. Tiza-OsmeΓ±a-Libis-Balala-Culango-Jardin-Balala, then back to LCC. After that, everyone gathered in the LCC quadrangle for the opening ceremony, where a torch was lit and passed by representatives from graduating classes spanning 1936 to 2026. They are the "generations shaped in faith, learning, and service." It served as a reminder of how far LCC has come with the mission and service entrusted to it, and how many more years it will continue to ignite hearts and transform lives.
