𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦 | Honoring L-NU’s PLE Passers (1/2)

Lyceum–Northwestern University (L-NU) proudly honored its Physicians Licensure Examination (PLE) passers through a Grand Motorcade, Thanksgiving Mass, and Testimonial Celebration held today, May 7, 2026. The celebration gathered university administratos, newly licensed physicians, faculty members, students, families, and supporters in recognition of another historic milestone for the institution, highlighted by the achievement of Dr. Erwin Ken Parchaso, who emerged as the Top 1 passer nationwide.

During the program, Dr. Francisco T. Duque III, University Chancellor, reaffirmed L-NU’s steadfast commitment to excellence, and in forming physicians dedicated to service, and professional competence. Meanwhile, Dr. Luz T. Duque-Hammershaimb, University President, emphasized that the recognition was not only a celebration of their academic achievement, but also a tribute to their sacrifices, perseverance, and journeys. Dr. Parchaso also gave a heartfelt speech full of gratitude for his family, and L-NU.

The celebration once again reflected L-NU’s commitment to nurturing resilient, compassionate, and excellent medical professionals who continue to bring pride and honor to the university, and the nation.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | Key Takeaways from Dr. Parchaso’s Testimonial Speech

One of the most heartfelt moments of the celebration came from Dr. Erwin Ken Parchaso as he shared two personal confessions before the audience. He recalled that for the first three minutes after seeing the official results, he simply stared at the screen and convinced himself that there must have been an error in the system, remembering that he was once a student who had failed several anatomy examinations. He also spoke about the unwavering support of his wife, whose love and encouragement strengthened his dreams for their small family.

Concluding his message with gratitude and humility, Dr. Parchaso thanked Lyceum–Northwestern University for believing in him.

𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | Name Withheld Receives Amount Withheld

Dr. Erwin Ken Parchaso, who emerged as the Top 1 passer of the March 2026 Physicians Licensure Examination (PLE), was formally recognized in a special part of the Testimonial Celebration, led by Dr. Francisco T. Duque III.

Once famously introduced in the official results as the mysterious “Name Withheld,” Dr. Parchaso finally stepped into the spotlight to receive his plaque of recognition and a cheque bearing an “Amount Withheld.”

Students, faculty, alumni, families, and supporters now gather in unity to celebrate this remarkable milestone.
