𝐊𝐎𝐋𝐔𝐌 | SA KABILA MASAYA, SA KABILA TRAHEDYA
by Ashley Lariego

SPG Grand Rally Highlights Young Leaders of SJCSi

July 12, 2025 — St. John’s Cathedral School, Incorporated’s Elementary Department came alive yesterday as young student leaders from two parties, SPARKS and GABRIELA, took center stage in the much-anticipated Supreme Pupil Government (SPG) Grand Rally.

Headed by SPG adviser, Ma’am Mary Ann Salinas, the event showcased the official presentation of candidates running for various positions, from Peace Officers up to the highest seat—SPG President. The vibrant atmosphere was further energized with dance showdowns from both parties, adding a fun to the campaign.

Both presidential candidates confidently delivered their speeches, outlining their platforms and goals for the upcoming school year, each highlighting their commitment to service and positive change within the school community.

The rally was hosted by Sir Gerald Reyes, who kept the energy high and the program running smoothly; The program concluded with a heartfelt closing remarks from Ma’am Maricita Jacoba, Elementary Department’s Principal, followed by a solemn prayer gathering of the aspiring officers—a moment of reflection before the official start of the election period.

Through this engaging and spirited rally, SJCSi continues to instill the values of leadership and responsibility among its young Johannines. 🦅
