RED VELVET CAKE
CAKE:
1 PACK DECADENCE YELLOW CAKE MIX 520 GRAMS
2 TABLESPOONS COCOA POWDER
2 TEASPOON RED FOOD COLOR
1 CUP + 2 TABLESPOONS WATER
3 EGGS, SEPARATED
⅓ CUP VEGETABLE OIL
FROSTING:
1 BAR CREAM CHEESE, SOFTENED
¾ CUP ALL- PURPOSE CREAM, CHILLED AND WHIPPED
¾ CUP POWDERED SUGAR
1 TEASPOON VANILLA EXTRACT
PROCEDURE:
Preheat oven to 350 F/177 Celsius. Grease and line five 4-inch round pans . Mix cake mix, cocoa powder, Red food color, water,and egg yolks. Set aside. In another bowl, beat egg white until stiff. Fold the cake batter mixture into the egg white until well blended. Divide the batter into 5 pans. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until done. Set aside to cool.
PREPARE FROSTING:
In a bowl, soften the cream cheese and slowly add powdered sugar. Blend until smooth. Add vanilla. Fold in whipped cream. Get 1 cake and crumble coarsely. Set aside.
TO ASSEMBLE:
Place the remaining 4 cakes on cake platter and cover them with cream cheese frosting, Completely cover the frosted cake with the cake crumbs. Serve.
