The MMMA community gathered again to celebrate a spooky yet fun 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 held at the MMMA gymnasium on 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.

𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗸𝘆: 𝗔 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

The Morning Colors ceremony held last Monday, October 27, 2025, marked a special moment for the MMMA community as it was the 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲, for this school year. The open-air setting added a fresh and inspiring atmosphere as cadets gathered in unity and pride during the flag-raising ceremony.

𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁. 𝗜𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗼 𝗔. 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗮 delivered an inspiring message that urged cadets to listen with purpose and reflect on their values as future maritime leaders. His words resonated deeply with everyone present as he reminded them that “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿.”

The event was a great way to start the week, bringing everyone together to show respect, learn new lessons, and feel motivated to do their best.

𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗘

On 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 commenced the moment that all had been waiting for. The 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 was tested on the ground where the ashes of history remain. Everyone was 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 and 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱 but the one who has a 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 remain its anchor.

𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

On 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, the event brought together cadets of MMMA and students from various schools for an inspiring day of learning and action through the 𝗕𝘂𝗸𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶-𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 and 𝗠𝘀. 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗖𝘂𝘆𝗼𝘀 as speaker. With the theme “𝙇𝙖𝙪𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙤 𝙎𝙞’: 𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙨 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣,” participants joined talks, discussions, and a special ship-in tour around the academy, promoting environmental awareness and maritime sustainability.

𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸: 𝗔 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝘂𝗻, 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝗯𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱!

Last 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, MMMA celebrated 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆 at the MMMA Gymnasium, facilitated by the 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 together with the 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀. The event was filled with exciting mini-games, prizes, and moments of laughter that brought employees and cadets together. It was a refreshing and meaningful celebration that highlighted the importance of mental wellness, teamwork, and building a supportive MMMA community.

𝗖𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘁 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝟰 - 𝗘𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝟭 | 𝗖𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺

The 𝗖𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 (CCOP) is a program made for 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀. Designed to prepare the candidate cadets for what they will go through the rigorous training grounds of the Academy, the CCOP includes 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿, 𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, and 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 of the Academy’s training paradigm.

The CCOP was 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆. These cadets endured more than what they could ever imagined, all for the 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 for their family as a seafarer. With resilience, courage, and perseverance, the cadets 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟰-𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺. This marks a 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 in their life as they navigate through the challenges and demands of a cadet’s life.

From academics and physical training to leadership seminars and inspections, the series highlights the discipline, teamwork, and personal growth that define cadet life. It offers a genuine look at what it takes to succeed in the academy, fostering a deeper connection between cadets and the wider community.

On October 4, 2025, the 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗠𝗠𝗔 had the chance to introduce the academy to the 𝗣𝗚𝗖𝗔-𝗣𝗢𝗣 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 at St. Paul College, Pasig.

The event was an annual assembly of 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹-𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 throughout the Philippines, together with their common mission to empower, be resilient, and serve.

The conference that took place this year was especially important due to the 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰. The 𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲 was handed over by 𝗖𝗱𝘁. 𝗝𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗱𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗲𝗴, who completed the chapter on 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽. Her works have left an unalterable mark on the MMMA community, and she has been 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 of the journey of mental health and peer support.

The MMMA community are so proud of 𝗠𝗠𝗠𝗔 𝗣𝗘𝗘𝗥𝗦 because of their commitment to leadership, compassion, and excellence. In the case of PGCA-POP 2025, they 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲. May the tradition of service and support still exist, where the tides will set us, thereafter.

𝗡𝗼 𝗟𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀, 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗴𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗲

On the 𝟭𝟯𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, the Morning Colors was held at the gymnasium. One of the academy’s profound instructors; 𝟯/𝗘 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗼 𝗟. 𝗞𝗶𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮, delivered a 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 about his struggles in his life to achieve what he has now.

In his story, he recounted his ups and downs, his 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮 in his class. Nearing the end of his speech, he stated through the quote of Nelson Mandela, "𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻”. To any uncertainty— produces one of the 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀: “𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴” and “𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴”. Potential failure is 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗱 as loss, but as a 𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 of 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵, thereby creating an attitude that enables 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 without the fear of 𝘀𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘀. Being 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 is the only true 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸, while any 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 is a 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 towards success.

He added, so to all of you who feel like you’re not enough, who’ve tasted defeat, or who are still waiting for your moment — keep going. Your story is still being written. And one day, you’ll look back and realize that every struggle was preparing you for something greater.
