Love; the most paradoxical, unintelligible, and illogical feeling that we, humans, long for universally. It comes with joy, fulfillment, gratitude, solace, and comfort—but most people give up on it without acknowledging its counterparts; pain, longing, yearning, agony, and despair. Most people are conditioned to believe that love is all about the sweetest moments, cuddling, and the fun dates—not knowing the beauty of overcoming the longing for each other's presence, the difficult conversations, and the misunderstandings. Our minds are trapped in the idea that love is supposed to free us from pain, but real love is quite the opposite; love makes us confront and overcome pain with the right person, instead of escaping. One has to experience the great pain that teaches the true definition of love—oftentimes, in the hardest way possible.
