A Docufilm on Literacy, Purpose, and the Roles We Play
Set in Dasmariñas Integrated High School (DIHS), Papel follows the intertwined stories of Joelyn, a struggling learner, and Ma’am Angelica, a dedicated public school teacher, as they find meaning and purpose amid the challenges of the ARAL Program — the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning initiative of the Department of Education.

For Joelyn, ARAL feels like an added struggle — another reminder of what she has yet to learn. For Ma’am Angelica, it begins as an additional responsibility on top of her daily load. Both navigate their hardships quietly: a student learning to read and a teacher learning to persevere.

Through the support of LAC (Learning Action Cell) sessions, Ma’am Angelica rediscovers strength in collaboration — finding guidance from mentors and fellow teachers who remind her that no educator teaches alone. These sessions become her space for reflection, renewal, and shared purpose, allowing her to better guide her learners like Joelyn.

In time, the ARAL Program becomes more than a task — it becomes a bridge of connection and understanding between teacher and student. Together, they learn that literacy is not only about words, but about courage, compassion, and transformation.

The film culminates in a moving moment of gratitude: Joelyn, now able to read and write, hands Ma’am Angelica a letter — a simple yet powerful symbol of learning, hope, and the discovery of their true papel in life."

📅 Last Friday, October 6, 2025 marked the incredible culmination of the 🎭 Dramatica Asociación Talent Showcase 🎭 — a day overflowing with creativity, talent, and unforgettable performances! 🌟

💐 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 to all who took the stage and surpassed every challenge with heart and confidence! Your passion truly lit up the stage. 💖

🙏 𝑨 𝒉𝒖𝒈𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝒚𝒐𝒖 to the ever-supportive parents who attended the Parents’ Orientation and stayed to cheer for their children — your presence made everything extra special! 🌸

🎭✨ DRAMATICA AGENDA ALERT! ✨🎭
Are you ready, Freshies? 🚀 Here’s the exciting plan of Dramatica Asociacion for the upcoming Freshie Fair! 💡 Our goal? To sell some nostalgic toys that will bring you back to the old times ☘️, to sell, sweet candies 🍬 that will make your 🫵 day sweeter, and some cute and fluffy crochets.

🛍️ Merch & Booth
We, the dramatica members are also planning to sell pins, stickers, keychains, and more simple but creative designs—perfect souvenirs for you! The booth will be decorated with fabric, paper, and folders for that artsy vibe.

🎤 Interactive Games & Mechanics
✨ Singing: “Sing the Word”
A player picks a paper with a word on it and must sing a song that contains that word within 10 seconds, if they succeed, they receive a prize. ! 🎶

✨ Acting: “Lights, Camera… Finish it” –. A participant will pick a piece of paper, and whatever is written on it will be the famous line from a movie and they need to complete the sentence or what is written on a piece of paper. If they guess it correctly, they will receive a prize. 🎭

✨ Dancing: “Groove & Guess” – Participants are challenged with fun, dance-related trivia questions. If they answer correctly, they win a cool toy prize! The game will be quiz-styled gameplay. 💃🪩
