SIM REGISTRATION IS FULLY IMPLEMENTED, YET SCAM MESSAGES PERSIST.
The SIM Card Registration Act (Republic Act No. 11934) was enacted with the promise of enhancing national security, curbing fraudulent activities, and promoting digital safety. As responsible citizens, we complied, trusting that this would lead to positive change, increased protection, and national progress.
But here we are still flooded with scam texts and suspicious messages.
Once again, the government has failed in one of its most basic duties: safeguarding the security and privacy of its people. Yes, we understand that no policy is perfect, and there may be loopholes. But it is the responsibility of our public officials to close those gaps and ensure that laws are not just passed but effectively implemented.
Our taxes fund these programs. Our hard-earned money pays for your salaries. We demand transparency, action, and results not excuses.
Protect the people. Do your job.
