WORLD’S BIGGEST TENNIS BALL FACTORY TO RISE IN DAVAO, 700 JOBS AWAIT!
Sports brand Head, the global leader producing about 40% of the world’s tennis balls, has chosen Panabo City, Davao del Norte as home to its newest and soon-to-be largest factory worldwide.
Located inside the Anflo Industrial Estate-Special Economic Zone, the 5-hectare plant already began commercial operations in January and is expected to employ over 700 workers once fully operational. Aside from direct hires, the project will also spark jobs in logistics, packaging, maintenance, and port services.
The factory aims for a massive output of up to 14 million dozen tennis balls yearly, all for export, strengthening the Philippines’ role as Head’s top global production site. According to PEZA, this milestone proves the country’s capability to meet strict world-class standards, with officials expecting the Philippine operations to eventually account for 60% of Head’s worldwide output.
