🤔 Why don’t most pickups in the Philippines have “NOT FOR HIRE” stickers?

Because the LAW DOESN’T REQUIRE IT.

There’s no national rule saying you must put one — even if you drive a Ranger, Hilux, Navara, DMax, Strada, etc.

But some enforcers "might" expect it, especially if:

🚧 Your truck or pick-up has a canopy or cargo

đźš› You look like you're hauling for business

🏞 You’re in rural areas or LGU checkpoints

âś… Bottom line:

You can’t be fined just for not having the sticker.

🚛 Can I carry cargo in my pickup or van without a “FOR HIRE” franchise?

Yes — if it’s for your own use.
You’re allowed to haul gear, tools, supplies, or even business inventory as long as you’re not being paid to deliver for someone else.

âś… You can carry:
• Personal items
• Stocks for your own store
• Tools for your own business
• Bikes, luggage, camping gear

❌ You cannot:
• Deliver goods for another business for a fee
• Transport passengers for pay
• Operate as a cargo/delivery service without an LTFRB franchise

⚠️ Even if you're legal, some enforcers may flag you — especially if your vehicle looks “for hire.”

But some people who want peace of mind — especially on long drives or provincial trips — they place one to avoid the hassle.
