I saw these before we finally left our old home in the province. And there's a pinch of pain in my heart, remembering how I was before (someone who wont settle for mediocrity). The struggle of being torn between surviving in life and wanting to regain the fire-wiwww!
I don't know if I'm on the right path, but I am now in the state of accepting the fact that THIS IS LIFE! It may seem unfair-I mean, why is it that opportunities aren't for everybody? Why are options not for everyone? But well, it's obvious. God is teaching us something.
I know a lot of people feel the same way. But let's continue to hold onto God's promises. It may seem difficult, seems painful, but perhaps soon, we will be able to regain who we used to be. Who knows?!
I pray that whoever has the same struggle, God be your comfort... God be your assurance... and God be the anchor of your dreams and plans.
Last Feb 14, 2024, we spent half of our heart’s day celebration at HCDC, conducting a mental health symposium entitled ‘Self-Care,’ in partnership with Philippine Mental Health Association (PMHA) consultant, Ms. Precious Manliguez.
During the Q&A portion, a student asked something about ‘losing a friend,’ which was answered by the speaker as seen in the video posted (part lang po yan).
Hearing the question, a lot of names and faces flashed back in my memory, because I, too, had lost so many people in my life and it saddened me.
Lessons learned:
1. We must let go of the guilt feelings—guilt feelings of being unable to protect the friendship.
2. Sometimes, losing a friend makes us a better person. In fact, we might discover the real us: our favorite song, color, food, etc. and realize that what we once had actually belonged to that dear friend of ours.
3. It’s coincidental because I read a quote from Faraaz Kazi saying, ‘Some people are going to leave, but that’s not the end of your story. That’s the end of their part in your story.’
Meaning, things like this is inevitable and it’s okay.
To my friends, I’m sorry if I wasn’t able to protect what we once had. We’ve all been busy finding our own paths, and our journeys have taken different directions. We lost touch and communication, but my heart still prays for your happiness and well-being. I’ve seen some of your successes in life, and I applaud them from a distance. I am proud of what you’ve become! However, when life gets tough for you and you need someone to talk to, I am still here, and you can count on me.
Take care, my friend.
God loves you, and I love you too! 🥰
