As the nation celebrates the 127th Philippine Independence Day, The Clarion honors the courage and sacrifice of the heroes who fought for the country’s freedom. Their defiance against colonizers and unwavering determination in the face of oppression laid the foundation for the liberties Filipinos enjoy today. Their legacy of strength and resilience continues to shape the national identity and inspire collective pride.

In remembering their heroism, The Clarion calls on every Filipino to uphold the values for which they stood: justice, unity, and progress. May this day serve not only as a commemoration of the past but also as a reminder of our shared responsibility to protect and strengthen the nation they helped build.

Maligayang ika-127 na Araw ng Kasarinlan!

The Clarion joins the Muslim community in observing Eid’l Adha, a sacred occasion honoring the faith and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (Alayhis Salam). As our Muslim brothers and sisters come together in prayer and reflection, may this day remind us all of the strength found in sacrifice, the power of devotion, and the values that unite us in compassion and shared humanity.

Let the Vacation—oops!—Summer Class Begin! ☀️

The heat is above the ceiling, and so is our energy as we welcome the first day of the Summer Term for Academic Year 2024–2025! 📚

While others are diving into beach waves and playing with white sands, we’re diving into learning and making waves in our own way—by investing in our growth, goals, and grit. 💡

May this Summer Term become productive, enriching, and fulfilling!

Let's make this count, Vipers! 🌴✨

Like Icarus who soared too close to the sun, the DDC Lady Vipers flew high, but fell short as they settled for a humbling yet commendable 4th place finish in the 1st Davao Colleges and Universities Network, Inc. (DACUN) Sportsfest, last May 25 at the Philippine Women's College Pavilion.

Despite limited preparation time during finals week of the academic year, the Lady Vipers showed resilience and managed to sneak in a commendable 4th place finish, narrowly missing the podium after a close seesaw battle against the Rizal Memorial College (RMC) Lady Bulldogs.

"𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘸𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦, 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘸𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘵" said Vipers coach, Dr. Carla Angeline Pilapil. Even without a podium finish, the Lady Vipers played with their heart and exhibited their sizzling spikes and tenacious defense, with hard hitters like team captain Hanna Mae Ortiz, and wing spiker Andrea Carteciano, who delivered numerous nerve-wracking attacks to devastate RMC's iron wall of defense.
