Basin ang Gcash donations gipang shopping ra. Dili ko magsaba π
There is a veteran Davao journalist (now semi-retired) who has long been known as an animal advocate. Over the years, this person has taken in countless strays and built a life centered around cats and dogs who eventually became family. The person sacrificed personal comfort and luxury in the name of compassion, a generous soul who chose to stand firmly by their passion and advocacy without dragging other people, or obliging neighbors to help. It takes extra courage, extra passion, and real sacrifice to do that. This is responsible advocacy.
When you were 9, you made headlines for taking in strays. But as the years went by, the ten dogs became hundreds. And by then, you were already an adult. That was a choice you made, a noble passion you decided to pursue. But remember this, young man: you are on your own. No government mandated you to do what youβre doing.
To publicly humiliate the City Government of Davao for allegedly failing to fulfill a promise to provide land and shelter for your rescues is not only outrageous, but borders on entitlement.
Kasabot man kaβg Binisaya noh, although you usually spoke English: halos tibook Mindanao, D**g, gikan bata hantud tigulang, gaadto sa Davao City for financial and medical aid, and many other concerns.
We are not saying animals are the last priority. What we are saying is that as responsible adults (and yes, you are one now), we must be accountable for our own advocacies. Masyado nang maraming inaatupag ang gobyerno para unahin pa ang personal advocacies natin.
Itβs great if others help, but they are not obliged to.
You have already shamed an LGU, spoken ill of its leaders, and burned bridges you claimed βnever existed in the first place.β
Check your entitlement, young man. We believe you have raised enough funds to buy a property somewhere in Calinan, Toril, or Indangan.
In Davaoβs current rates, more than a million pesos is enough to buy a piece of land.
Love and care,
Fellow animal advocates
PS: Smile ka rin minsan. Para bumagay sa advocacy natin.
