Many prepare for the wedding. Few prepare for the marriage.

This is the reality.

Everyone talks about the wedding.

It is easier to prepare for wedding which last a day.
Harder to keep marriage which is a lifetime.

So before you say “I do,”
talk about the hard things:
Debt.
Boundaries.
Family expectations.
Plans.
Pain.
And how you’ll handle pressure when love doesn’t feel romantic anymore.

Because marriage is not all about the candlelight dinner.
It’s showing up when you’re both tired.
It’s solving problems instead of blaming.
It’s saying, “We’re a team—even when we disagree.”

So don’t just prepare for the party.
Prepare for the partnership.
Because a wedding gets applause—
but a healthy marriage deserves the real standing ovation.
